This ended up a long time in the making but just turned out soo great. 
It is the Nolichucky river under Flattop Mountain… a special place for the mama this is going to. It’s somewhere right about here.

About/Design
First, before all things, I am a mom. Raziel, my son, is 6 and my little daughter Rajani is 2. They are the inspiration for all of my creations. I taught myself to sew after Raziel was born, in ‘02. Always the artist I realized sewing could be art as well. I found a way to express my artistic self thru bold colors, distinctive designs, and appliqué. I edged all of my slings in contrasting fabric. Sarita Star Designs was born! My talent developed into more elaborate appliqués, most created on a one of a kind basis. I pride myself on handcrafting every part of my sling, and of course my mad appliqué skills
… from the edging to the original artwork translation to appliqué, I just really love what I do.
